Requirements : IPAQ 6828 series.

Overview : Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 version is "CE OS 5.2.19202", Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 version is wm6 aku 0.7 build 18508, homer's atom rom

Installation Instructions :
Extract diskimg.nb0 to a sd card (<1G is better), insert it into 6828, press&hold 2 soft key(-) and reset. After a while, it will be in PBL mode, wait 15-20min, it will hard reset itself and flash done. The first boot time is very long so be patient , you may click the screen so that the device will not auto-off.
Note: You should have 1.00.01 BL else (exp:BL 1.00.05 not work) it wont work.
If not please flash back to BL 1.01 with below url.

3. After install you must do a Hard Reset (Press [MAIL]+[CONTACTS] and [Reset]) and wait 2-3 minutes. If it doesn't help do a Hard Reset again.
4. Press Reset and be happy

iPAQ HX4700 WM 6.1 upgrade

Requirements : iPAQ HX4700

Overview : Latest ROM version. CE OS 5.2.61.20 Build 19716.1.1.0.
Removed from SL61V03_lite are the following:
1. Windows Media Player (can't do gapless playback)
2. Internet Explorer (didn't work on my banking site)
3. PowerPoint (never used it)
4. HP Image Viewer (redundant with "Pictures and Videos")
5. Games (ok...I may have to put these back!)
6. WelcomeCenter (I been welcomed already)
7. BTPhoneManager and some phone related registry entries
(I have a phone. I have a PDA. They don't need to talk. Thank you.)

The lite version is NOT stripped bare. For example, it still has help files for apps that are in the rom.
Opera over WiFi works fine. Activesync works over bluetooth. Word, Excel and other apps work fine.

NOTES if you want to try the lite rom:
1. Because WMP is gone, you will need to add your favourite player to play audio.
2. Because IE is gone, you will need to add your favourite browser (opera, minimo, etc.) to open files that were associated to IE. You can also open them with Word - but it's ugly.
