Overview : Windows Mobile 2003 SE English ROM for the iPAQ rz1710

Installation Instructions :
The iPAQ Update Utility checks the language of your iPAQ against
language of the rom image and if they do not match, it refuses
to continue. To force the rom to install on a non-English device:

1. Identify the language of your device. The iPAQ uses one of these
three-letter codes for language:
ENG
GER
FRA
SPA
PTB
ITA
KOR
JPN
CHS
CHT

2. You will need to edit these two files using a hex-editor.
> iPAQPCSDK.dll
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Go to address C644 and change ENG to one of the three-letter
codes above.

> RUUClientDriver.dll
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Go to address E0FC and change ENG to one of the three-letter
codes above.


3. Run hpRUU.exe and hopefully the rom installation will now
proceed.
